above-ground steel Storm Shelter on the market today.
Our units meet or exceed FEMA 320/361 standards and NSSA/ICC-500 standards, Meets or exceeds Texas Tech Wind Research Center specifications.
Skin is A572-grade 65 high-strength low-alloy steel 3/16’’ plate. Wall studs and ceiling beams are made from 1”X 3” .120 1018 steel tube which are structurally conjoined with grade 5 fasteners during installation (making an effective 2x3x.250 beam). Wall lateral braces are 2”X2” .120 wall 1018 steel tube.
